The Limited Warranties are only valid in the country of the original retail purchase.

Damage, malfunctions, or failures, however, caused by a lack of maintenance or improper maintenance will not be covered under the 2023 WS250 Snowmobile Limited Warranty.

U.S.A. EPA EMISSIONS LIMITED WARRANTY

In addition to the “Provisions Applicable to All Limited Warranties” the below provisions are applicable to the U.S.A. EPA Emissions Limited Warranty.

11

Whom Does the U.S.A. EPA Emissions Limited Warranty Cover?

The U.S.A. EPA Emissions Limited Warranty covers the first retail purchaser of the Covered Snowmobile and any subsequent owners (so long as those subsequent owners are residents of the country of the original retail purchase) until the conclusion of the applicable coverage period.

12

What Does the U.S.A. EPA Emissions Limited Warranty Cover?

The U.S.A. EPA Emissions Limited Warranty is in addition to the 2023 WS250 Snowmobile Limited Warranty.

Covered Snowmobiles are designed, built, and equipped to conform with applicable U.S. Environmental Protection Agency emission regulations. WIDESCAPE warrants that a Covered Snowmobile is free from defects in materials and workmanship that would cause it to fail to meet these regulations. Specifically, the U.S.A. EPA Emissions Limited Warranty covers components if their failure increases the Covered Snowmobile’s regulated emissions, and it covers components of systems if their only purpose is to control emissions. Repairing or replacing other components not covered by the U.S.A. EPA Emissions Limited Warranty (or any other WIDESCAPE Limited Warranty) is the responsibility of the Covered Snowmobile owner. The U.S.A. EPA Emissions Limited Warranty does not cover components if their failure does not increase the Covered Snowmobile’s regulated emissions.

For exhaust emissions, emission-related components include any engine parts related to the following systems:

  • Air-induction system
  • Fuel system
  • Ignition system

The following parts are also considered emission-related components for exhaust emissions:

  • Aftertreatment devices
  • Crankcase ventilation valves
  • Sensors
  • Electronic control units

The following parts are considered emission-related components for evaporative emissions:

  • Fuel Tank
  • Fuel Cap
  • Fuel Line

  • Pressure Relief Valves*

  • Carbon Canister
  • Carburetor Purge Port Connector

*As related to the evaporative emission control system.

13

What is the Coverage Period Under the U.S.A. EPA Emissions Limited Warranty?

For a Covered Snowmobile, coverage begins on the date of delivery to the first retail purchaser or the registration date, whichever occurs first, and continues for a period of 300 hours of engine operation or 30 calendar months, whichever comes first.

14

What is Not Covered by the U.S.A. EPA Emissions Limited Warranty?

This U.S.A. EPA Emissions Limited Warranty excludes damage, malfunctions, or failures not caused by a defect in material or workmanship. It also does not cover the following:

  • Damage due to accidents, abuse or improper handling, maintenance, or use.
  • Any engine installed in a Covered Snowmobile that has been structurally altered, or when the Covered Snowmobile has been used in racing competition.
  • Physical damage, corrosion or defects caused by fire, explosions, or other similar causes beyond the control of WIDESCAPE.

15

What are Your Responsibilities as a Customer?

You are responsible for performing the scheduled maintenance identified in the Owner’s Manual and other Widescape literature. When maintenance and repairs are paid for by you, these services may be performed by you or by any service provider you choose. WIDESCAPE will not deny a warranty claim solely because you used a service provider other than an authorized Widescape dealer for maintenance and repairs. However, any failure or noncompliance caused by improper maintenance or repairs is not covered by this warranty.  In addition, WIDESCAPE may deny warranty claims for damage, malfunctions, or failures that have been caused by the owner’s or operator’s improper maintenance or use, by accidents for which WIDESCAPE has no responsibility, or by acts nature or God.

Warranty coverage is not dependent upon the use of any particular brand of replacement parts, and you may elect to use parts that are not WIDESCAPE parts for maintenance and repairs. However, use of replacement parts that are not equivalent in quality to WIDESCAPE parts may impair the effectiveness of the Covered Snowmobile’s emission control components.

If you use replacement parts that have maintenance or replacement schedules different from those of WIDESCAPE parts, you must follow the maintenance and replacement schedules for the parts you are using. In addition, you should ensure that such parts are warranted by their manufacturers to be equivalent to WIDESCAPE parts.

16

How Do I Obtain Warranty Service?

While any entity or person may perform maintenance, warranty repairs under the U.S.A. EPA Emissions Limited Warranty may only be performed by an authorized Widescape dealer.

If you have any questions regarding how to receive a warranty service or your warranty rights and responsibilities, please contact WIDESCAPE using the contact us form on www.widescape.co.
